On the heels of a tremendous day where the RDDC (Now parading as the Partnership for Downtown – keep your eyes on that…) shelved their BID proposal, Council President Melendez added his name to #0010-2024.

The fifth signature on the letter of support put forward by Council Member Martin elevates this message to a Memorializing Resolution, and further amplifies Rochester community voices, strengthening the chorus calling for an end to the active injustices happening in Palestine.

We cannot over-emphasize the importance of community efforts combining to amplify each other’s voices. There is strength in numbers and these two community victories are a clear demonstration of what we can accomplish together
